I really want to get this thread going. So... question for people. How do people usually take it when you tell them you're agender?
For my answer, everyone my age just took it as fact and switched names without any trouble. My parents completely ignored it, more or less.

I've had one person completely shut me down about it, refusing to use anything other than "she" for a little while, but other than that I've either not come out or they've been accepting (if confused). The most negative reactions seem to be when I'm seen as my GAAB and people get uncomfortable with non strictly feminine or masculine behavior.

Yeah, that tends to be annoying. People always read me as female because I wear skirts and I don't have enough shirts that aren't explicitly cut to fit a female body (even though I hate those shirts), and I always feel like I act too female. But I'm starting to introduce myself as "going by Phe or Phoenix because I dislike the gendered quality of my birth name".

Everyone my age was fine with it, and because I typically wear nothing particularly feminine it wasn't a big change. But my mom refuses to accept it. She doesn't understand how I could feel like this and won't let me get binders and stuff.
